In March of 2002 a wiggly little puppy joined our pack. Thora was only three months old, and was an itty bitty slip of a thing. When Damon first brought her home she ran straight for me and covered me with kisses. I think she knew that I needed her as much as she needed me.
Thora's name comes from the Norse word for Thunder. Thor (pronounced "tor"), is the masculine form, and Thora (pronounced "tor-ah") is the feminine form. I thought it only fitting that I name our new Lurcher puppy after Thunder, who shared so much of himself with us.
Without further ado,
I'd like to introduce to you:
- My Little Thora Girl -

March, 2002

These are the very first pictures Thora's foster mom sent me, and they were the first time I saw my new baby girl. It really was love at first sight.

Here's Thora with the son of one of her rescuer's... during her journey home to me. A huge thank you to everyone who helped her make her way to us.

Isn't she just the most beautiful puppy you've ever seen???

DOG PILE!
Greta (black mutt), and Dixie (brown mutt) my parents two dogs, as well as my kidlets: Nico (fawn and white chihuahua), Misty (blue merle and white collie - just her legs are in this shot), and Thora (brindle and white lurcher pup) all having a blast together.

Misty and Thora having fun getting to know each other. They always had a blast together.

April, 2002

Thora's all tuckered out after a day of play.

Two pretty girls, Misty and Thora, enjoying each others company.

June, 2002

Rolling around, wrestling, jumping, destroying toys, and just being two silly girls.

Wow! Playing is tough work. Two cutie pies taking a break to chew on a couple of pork hide chewies.
August, 2002

Nothing like sharing a tug toy between friends.
