The majority of my time spent writing, is dedicated to educating the public on animal and health related issues. However, there is the odd occasion where I feel compelled to tackle other issues and topics. Those are the articles and essays you will find here.

Do you remember your high school girlfriends? Slumber parties? Trips to the mall? Giggling and making popcorn while talking about the cute boy in your Chemistry class? What ever happened to your girlfriends? When did we get too old for scary movies, and laughing so hard our stomach hurt? Take a nostalgic look back at the way we were before the pressures of being a grown up set in.

This short essay is currently unpublished. "Whatever Happened to Girlfriends?" comes in at just under 500 words. This piece could be published as a stand alone work, or as a lead in to a feature article including interviews and the thoughts of other "former girlfriends". Either way, this would be best suited to a general interest woman's magazine, or ezine.

When we headed out that Thursday night, none of us would have guessed it would be a turning point in our lives. Three city kids pestering one another in the back seat open all of our eyes to the joy found in even the most simple things. As the sun set, and the tractor pulled out of the field, we all shared a moment none of us will forget.

This essay is currently undergoing revisions. Upon completion it will be between 500 and 700 words. As yet untitled, it would be best suited for a general interest or parenting publication.
