Misty was the sweetest dog I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She loves everyone. She was polite, loving, and a joy to train. I will always love my little girlie girl, and think of her often. Misty shared with me one year of her life, and I gave her everything I could. I trained Misty as an Assistance Dog (with the help of a friend), loved her like one of my own... and then sent her away in one last gift of love. Misty is now a working dog, and has saved her disabled handlers life. The two of them are a joy to see together, each completing the other, and giving each other more than they had on their own. Misty will always be my little "girlie girl", and I will always cherish the time we had together.

Without further ado,
I'd like to introduce:

I registered Misty as: Bent Oak's Mystic Gift of Joy... and that is truly what she was.
Misty was donated to me by a responsible breeder, right from the start she was destined to be an Assistance Dog. I registered Misty with the AKC as "Bent Oak's Mystic Gift of Joy"... and that is truly what she was.

Misty always loved playing with Nico... Her favorite thing in the world is to be training/working... but playing is a close second.

When Misty's breeder donated her to me as a Service Dog in training she couldn't have picked a sweeter girl for the job
Here's Misty, just being a silly puppy.

Right from the start, Misty seemed to know it was her job to take care of those around her.

Misty's first experience with snow went really well, she absolutely loved it.
Misty's first time experiencing snow!

This pretty girl absolutely loves running and playing in the snow.
This pretty girl just loved every second spent in that powdery white stuff.

It wouldn't be long after this that Thunder left us, the three of them (collie, greyhound, and chihuahua) really were the best of friends.
These three (Misty a smooth Collie, Thunder a retired racing Greyhound, and Nico a Chihuahua) really were the best of friends. It wasn't long after this picture was taken, that Thunder lost his battle with Cancer.
